What an important sector to get things right.
Students’ education and future depends on being able to attend the schools, facilities of their choice. Expecting a person to choose their place of education, based on where they have the best option for access and evacuation solutions is simply discriminatory.
Why should students have to travel when a Stair Climber or Evacuation Chair would enable a student to attend the nearest facility or the one that offers their subjects of choice.
There was a young student, in a powered wheelchair, who was going from junior to senior school. There were 3 steps that restricted access to a certain part of the school. Various parties said the child should go to a school where none of his friends were going, where he could make new friends!
We were contacted by his parents for help. The school that the child wanted to attend, which was the nearest, his sister and his friends already attended, and the school also wanted him to attend.
The TRE-70 was perfect and after the parents taking this through various courts and taking two years of fighting, the courts ruled in the parent’s favour, and the TRE-70 was purchased, and he finally went to his desired school. The court could not understand why it had ever gone to court, taken two years and was being contested because of cost. The whole process was drawn out and he was set back in his education. This does not need to happen; we have solutions for most specific needs and situations!
The models we supply are very well engineered, robust, and last for years. They are portable and can be moved to various locations as required.
