Case Study – TRE-52 in Northumbria University
The procurement of our Super Trac TRE-52 Powered Stair Climber has been proven to be an asset in enhancing Northumbria University’s accessibility needs by supporting our wheelchair users across our Newcastle Campuses.
The chair climber is utilised primarily to aid wheelchair users up and down stairs in the event of a building lift failure or whilst a lift repair and planned maintenance is carried out, allowing them to go about their daily routine within our buildings without impact. The Stair Climber has also been used at other venues such as supporting the wider community to access our Covid-19 Lateral Flow Test Facilities and other University events.
Greg worked closely with our Health and Safety Team and colleagues from the Accessibility Review Group in trialling the Super Trac TRE-70 Stair Climber to ensure its useability and suitability satisfied the University’s needs, Greg’s expert understanding, and service was exemplary, and the stair climber was beyond expectation.
Greg delivered thorough staff training on the stair climber that was professional, concise, and knowledgeable. Greg clearly knows his stuff covering all aspects of the equipment. The aftersales care service has been great with Julia and the team at Evaccess providing timely technical support when required and are always on hand to deal with all our queries, whether that be over the phone or through a site visit by one of the engineers.
